The first step in overcoming infertility is to pinpoint the obstacles to conception. Are you ovulating normally? Are your fallopian tubes normal? Is your partner’s sperm normal and functional? These are just a few of the questions that must be answered before your doctor can recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
Though the causes of infertility are numerous and complex, both male and female factors can be successfully addressed with many of today’s technologies.
Once your
infertility testing has been completed, your physician will review the results
and recommend a treatment plan. This plan may include one or more treatment
alternatives including ovulation induction to enhance the production of healthy
eggs, minimally invasive surgery to correct or improve anatomical abnormalities,
intrauterine inseminations (IUI) to enhance the sperm's ability to fertilize the
egg, or the more advanced care using the Assisted Reproductive Technologies such
as In Vitro Fertilization or Donor Egg.
