About Houston IVF

Houston IVF provides a wide variety of infertility treatments ranging from basic infertility diagnosis and treatment to advanced services as in vitro fertilization (IVF), pre-genetic screening, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and assisted hatching. In 2001, Dr. Timothy Hickman wanted to provide women in Houston access to advanced infertility services which would help them realize their dream of becoming pregnant. Initially, Dr. Hickman and his staff trained with Dr. William Schoolcraft and his team at the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM). Since 2001 Houston IVF has had access to the same protocols and procedures utilized by CCRM. Houston IVF has successfully combined professional care and meticulous laboratory techniques which have resulted in our high pregnancy rates. Dr. Hickman and Dr. Schoolcraft have maintained a professional relationship, and they often share information between the two centers. An ongoing sharing of clinical protocols, techniques, and procedures between CCRM and Houston IVF allows Houston IVF to provide quality infertility services to patients in Houston and patients from around the world who come to Houston IVF for advanced infertility services. The extra compassion and individualized treatment patients receive from Houston IVF come from the Houston IVF physicians and staff.

Our aim is to provide our patients with highly proven, reproductive services in a compassionate manner which helps them navigate the difficult challenges of infertility.

Led by specialists trained in the treatment of infertility, Houston IVF assists patients by identifying the cause for infertility, and then developing a treatment plan based on these specific findings. In addition, our team consists of a number of embryologists, nurses, and other professional staff who are dedicated to helping patients achieve their dream of having a baby.

In addition to sharing of clinical protocols, techniques, and procedures with CCRM, Houston IVF benefits from the Research done by Fertility Laboratories of Colorado (FLC), located in Englewood, Colorado. FLC has a team of research scientists with more than 20 years combined experience in the field of reproductive medicine. The FLC research team led by David Gardner, PhD., is a group of international scientists well known for their work in several reproductive science areas. The FLC research department makes their research advances available to Houston IVF before they are published and shared with other IVF Centers. Thus, knowledge can be shared with our patients sooner than in other programs.
