No Wait for Egg Donor Cycles…
Houston IVF just completed their most successful year with regards to live birth rate for donor egg in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles. Houston IVF’s rates are routinely above the national average, but the 2009 live birth data proved to be their best so far. Thirty-three live births from the 41 donor egg IVF of cycles attempted (33/41 = 80.5%).
Houston IVF now, in partnership with the Fertility Resources of Houston, offers a wide selection of donors. Couples are matched with a donor based on physical characteristics, personalities, and the recipient couple’s specific requirements. The recipient couple and their selected donor are able to move forward immediately after being matched. Unlike other reproductive centers that can take over a year to complete an egg donation cycle, many recipient couples at Houston IVF can complete their entire cycle including the pregnancy test within six months of their new patient appointment.
Houston IVF and her sister center, The Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine or CCRM, have been pioneers in the field of blastocyst development and transfers. This has allowed the transfer of only one or two embryos while maintaining a high pregnancy rate.
The entire staff at Houston IVF welcomes the opportunity to help people realize their dream of building a family. Egg donation is the perfect option for many women, and it may be the only option for woman between 45 and 55.
